CENTERWILL is a ministry currently working out of Meru, Kenya (Africa) that focuses on three basic Biblical principles...

Making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)
Caring for orphans (James 1:27)
Caring for widows (James 1:27)

With everything we do we always take time to pause and invite the Holy Spirit to guide us. This is crucial for aligning our actions with the will of God.

OUR HISTORY

CENTERWILL began as a "mom & pop" family based ministry, founded by David & Sarah Richardson in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They have two young daughters who are also actively involved in the ministry.

After visiting Meru, Kenya in 2013 with another ministry, David & Sarah had a clear vision of how God could use their family to provide tremendous relief to many of the orphans & widows living in this area of Africa.

For reasons of financial stewardship, the Richardson's felt it made more sense to hire local Kenyan's to carry out the day-to-day work, and they would manage the ministry remotely from their home in Oklahoma. Thanks to modern technology David & Sarah can stay in constant contact with their staff in Kenya through video chatting (FaceTime), email, texting, and file sharing (Dropbox).

Although this is a fairly rare and unique approach to international missions, it has proven to be a highly successful way of doing things. David and/or Sarah travel to Kenya as often as 4 times a year.

THE TEAM

CENTERWILL has now grown into a big family of friends who share the same passion for caring for the orphans & widows in Meru, Kenya. Our volunteer staff is continuing to grow, as well as the number of people who travel to Kenya with us for short-term mission trips.

We currently have 20 full-time employees in Kenya. All of whom are native born to Kenya. Some specialize in caring for the orphans, some disciple the widows, and some teach economic development. To find out more about our staff go to our STAFF page.

STEWARDSHIP

100% of all donations go directly to the work on the ground.

From the beginning the Board of Directors felt it was important for them to assume the responsibility of paying for ALL the administrative expenses of the ministry, which allows every penny brought in from donations to go directly to the work on the ground.

Neither David or Sarah Richardson draw a salary from CENTERWILL, but rather, they continue to work their jobs to make sure they are not a burden to the ministry financially. David is a small business owner, and Sarah is a school teacher.
